     Want to know a Secret?  How about "Colorado's Best Kept Secret"?  Make your reservations early to experience all that beautiful Vallectio Lake AND the Pine River has to offer.  Five Branches Camper Park is  twenty-five miles northeast of Durango smack, dab in the middle of  what the San Juan Mountains have to offer!  You can fish, boat, tube, hike, ride (a bike or horse), or just enjoy the scenery and the friends you meet at Five Branches...it's up to you!  If you don't feel like cooking then be sure to join us for one of our famous tasty weekend breakfasts, potluck dinners, or ice cream socials. The Campground is also equipped with clean HOT showers, a laundry facility, and a well-stocked camp store where you can purchase any of those forgotten items or perishables as well as souvenirs for those left behind in the real world!

We are located at an elevation of 7600 feet, so you can be guaranteed comfortable days and cool nights.  Don't forget to bring your sweatshirts!  Five Branches Camper Park backs up to over 460,000 acres of the Weminuche Wilderness Area in the beautiful San Juan Mountains, and has over twenty-seven acres of waterfront property.  For those of you interested in backpacking into the backcountry, Five Branches is located only six miles from the Pine River Trailhead, gateway to miles upon miles of pristine natural wilderness area.
