Opening Day is May 18, 2012 If you need to make reservations for 2013, we will begin taking reservations June 1, 2012.
In
1995, owners Bob and Jan Davis, struck by the beauty of the area, decided to
make Five Branches Camper Park on Vallecito Lake their "home away from home."
Today, this 27-acre park, bordering the San Juan National Forest, includes 14
cabins, 17 tent sites, 97 RV sites, and some of the most beautiful
Colorado wildflowers you will ever see. Many of these sites border to Pine
River and Vallecito Lake.
The June 2002 Missionary Ridge Fire left us with very little damage. All
structures on the property were untouched, as were the wildflowers and
trees. Even with the low water level, fishing on Lake Vallecito has
been superb! The air is clear, and the flowers are in bloom. Don't forget your hummingbird feeders,
because they are VERY
hungry. You can also purchase peanuts at the camp store to feed those
friendly chipmunks.
Our
beautiful park offers guests a variety of things to
do. Facilities include 6 cabins, 2 accessible efficiencies, and
6 cottages, as well as tent
sites located along the river. This is in addition to over 97 RV sites, both waterfront and wooded. We have a camp store
stocked with all the items you may have left
at home, a laundry room with new washers and dryers, and bike, boat, and inner tube rentals.
Oh, and don't forget the yummy homemade breakfasts (biscuits and gravy and pancakes)
on Saturdays and Sundays. Janie says, "you
won't leave hungry!"
Come see why Five Branches Camper Park, on Vallecito Lake, is one
of "Colorado's Best Kept Secrets." We can't wait to see you! And by
the way, the park is pet friendly, so bring your furry and feathered friends
along and visit our own resident camp cat "Lani". Don't forget to keeps your dogs on a leash, Lani has been known to turn those unleashed canines in!
